What this site collects, and what it doesn’t.

This is a marketing site for Walk and Talk Psychotherapy and does not collect private clinical information. Anything related to your mental health stays in the protected systems used for actual sessions and intake.

Booking form

The booking form on the booking page collects your name, email, walking route preference (if applicable), days and time windows that work, an optional note on how you heard about the practice, an optional logistical note, and an optional free-text box where you can say a little about what brings you here. No data from this form is stored in any database, and its contents are never written to logs.

Because that form is outside of the encrypted systems used for sessions, please keep the free-text box brief and leave detailed clinical or medical history for the call. Everything you share once we start working together is held in the protected systems described below.

Analytics and advertising

The site uses Vercel Analytics for anonymous traffic counts (page views, country, device). It sets no cookies and collects no personal information.

These pages also use PostHog to count which pages people read and which paths lead to a consult request. It is set up narrowly to record the address of the page and your browser type and country. It does not record your clicks, what you type, or your screen, and it never sees the booking form. It runs only on the public pages you are reading now, never inside the client portal, and never on any page that holds session or health information. PostHog stores what it collects on servers in the United States.

If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, PostHog is switched off for your visit and collects nothing at all.

These public pages also load Google’s advertising tag, which measures whether a visit began from one of our Google ads. It sets cookies and shares data with Google. It runs only on the public pages you are reading now, never inside the client portal, and never on any page that holds session or health information.

Nothing you type into the booking form is sent to Google. If you would rather not be measured at all, an ad blocker or your browser’s tracking protection will stop the tag loading, and the site works exactly the same without it.

Cookies and local storage

PostHog, described above, sets a cookie of its own holding a random identifier, so that someone returning to the site a second time is not counted as a second person. It is not linked to your name or email, and it is not set at all if your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.

If a limited-time offer is running, dismissing the pop-up saves a single flag in your browser’s local storage so it stays closed. That flag never leaves your device and is not sent to the server. Clearing your browsing data removes both.

Embedded scheduling tools may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
